Heather Johnston is a North Vancouver-based photographer known for her striking images of urban and natural settings, as well as of flora and fauna. With a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art in London, she draws on history, a sense of time, and Surrealism for inspiration, often giving her images a painterly quality using effects in post production.
We love Heather’s work for her moody take on Vancouver cityscapes and her atmospheric nature shots. We have used several photos from her Vancouver series to give a sense of place to our projects, such as the above collection in our newly completed Lions Bay project. Below, our client wanted the feel of a high-end hotel room in her bedroom, and Heather’s images were the perfect fit!
