J & S Custom Furniture Co., formerly J & S Reclaimed Wood, are no strangers to the SHD community. They were the first brave souls to stand in the spotlight when The SHD Edit launched over a year ago! We are thrilled to re-feature these local Vancouver makers as they expand their services into designing and building custom furniture pieces and millwork.
To recap, Josh and Steve salvage character-filled wood from building demolitions, old barns, and fallen logs. They use the reclaimed timber to create customized handmade pieces — such as tables, chairs, stools, bar carts, and more. This practice promotes sustainability, eco-friendliness, and of course, beautiful homes.
We personally love J & S for their obvious passion and their deep knowledge of wood as a medium for their art. Whether you are “pining” for a reclaimed wood mantle or a rustic dining table, they can produce it.
