One of our favourite rooms to design is the home office. For clients who telecommute, own their own business, or simply want an inspired place to work on side projects and household admin, investing in a home office is a wonderful way to maximize productivity, unleash creativity and make work more beautiful every day.
Pretty Home Office
Our client never dreamed that this once cramped, dark room in her basement would become a bright and spacious home office where she enjoys spending her time.
The white custom built-ins keep clutter out of sight. The cozy window seat houses two large file drawers while providing a comfortable place for her daughters to join her as she works. Crystal knobs and mercury glass accessories lend a distinctly feminine touch to this inviting space.
Masculine Home Office
Located just inside the garage door entrance of the home, this office had to double as a mudroom. So while one side of the room houses two workstations and a combination of open and closed storage, the other side offers additional closet space for coats and bags as well as a bench for putting on shoes.
Creative Craft Room
This small spare bedroom in our 1950’s North Vancouver home originally housed our growing interior design business. We quickly outgrew this space and I wondered what would become of this lovely little room with its ocean view. It has evolved into a shared creative space for myself and my very artistic daughter where we are surrounded by some of our favourite things including vintage collectibles & furniture, artwork and craft projects.
